Pani Olena

Pani Olena has been our Sadochok Teacher since 2009. Born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, she graduated from the Kharkiv State Pedagogical University and worked in Ukraine as a teacher for 18 years. After immigrating to Canada in 2006, she became Sadochok’s Teaching Assistant in 2008-9 and began teaching at Calgary’s Ukrainian Saturday School “Ridna Shkola.” Her philosophy is that each child is special and unique and has made her life interesting and amazing. Pani Olena is truly the pillar and heart of our special Sadochok program.

Pani Lilya

 Born in Ternopil, Ukraine, Pani Lilya graduated from the Drogobych State Pedagogical University named I. Franko and worked in Ukraine as a piano, voice and music teacher for 20 years. Before moving to Calgary, Pani Lilya taught piano and provided language instruction for children at the Summer School for St. Volodymyrs Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Toronto. In 2008, Pany Lilya became a choir conductor and event planner for the same church. She has vast experience in teaching adults and children and would like to share her love for music in our school with Sadochok.

Ukrainian preschool teacher

Pani Olena

Pani Olena (not to be confused with the other Pani Olena) has been at Sadochok’s since 2017.  She graduated with a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Gryhory Skovoroda State Pedagogical University. After such an accomplishment she was a physiotherapist at the Lviv City Hospital for 19 years.  When she immigrated to Canada she worked as a child development assistant at Pacekids, which is a non-profit focusing on special needs children’s services/programs.  In her spare time she volunteers for the Plast Ukrainian Youth Association of Canada and the School of Alberta Ballet.
